Therapist: “I think people should take responsibility for change!” Yes and to pay you for the privilege. Therapists are liars and creeps.
CBT efficacy has been largely distorted and misrepresented. It is NOT that effective. Look up Jonathan Shedler talks on CBT.
Described very deeply n thnxz
I can barely hear this :o(
Has Psychotherapy ever worked?
Very insightful presentation, thank you!
this is such a good talk. however what are the limitations that's found in psychotherapy? since it is one of the most controversial argument in clinical psychology
I need therapy.. or my next suicide attempt may be successful.
Ive just come across this video and seen this comment. I hope you are well??
Cognitively stimulating presentation!! Psychodynamic Therapy seems more effective in Mary's case. Dialectical B approach can possibly give more insight into her suffering and learn mood regulation too.
Thank you for the insight you provided me, I'm working on my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and this was amazing how you presented this. Thank you.
Very informative, many thanks for sharing this.
i am fascinated and passionate to learn but I find the habit of Giorgio to intersperse his speech with 'err' repeatedly too distracting and find the excellent content disrupted. I only wish some speech therapy for him or some kind of therapy for me to improve my concentration over my criticising mind. It was also the case in the One Case Two Perspectives video. But i love and admire the work and am in deep gratitude for this site's insights
as Lara said One of '.....the most informative video I have ever seen regarding psychotherapy. Thank you so much for enlightening us!' i also appreciate the two perspectives and the organised clarity
The most informative video I have ever seen regarding psychotherapy. Thank you so much for enlightening us!

Bad PowerPoint.
Collaborate with PPRNet in Practice Based Research. The proposal will focus on professional development for psychotherapists to increase expertise in identifying and repairing therapeutic alliance ruptures. For more information watch this video. Indicate your interest to collaborate by sending an email to pprnet@toh.on.ca.
A very relevant project. As a clinician I feel adequately represented in terms of my concerns and needs. Thank you. A small note: the video is barely audible on my iPad even with the volume at maximum. I find it is the case with most PPRNet postings. Any way you can turn up the volume?

This is very interesting and relevant. Having developed a Trauma Treatment online program www.whatisptsd.com/trauma-care-online I learned about clinician hesitancy to try new adjunctive technologies. Your findings are quite well stated. Dr. Anna B Baranowsky, Traumatology Institute
mary is practically me. why have my therapists not given me an official diagnosis, or an actual formulation? I feel like this makes a lot of sense, but i've never has a therapist set an agenda or explain anything to me
Hi ChemicalDroid There are many different approaches used in counselling and psychotherapy. As a person-centred student counsellor I don't feel it is my place to make assumptions about clients but rather I hope to facilitate their own development of self-awareness in the therapeutic relationship. I don't like to pigeon-hole people as I believe we have many facets, strengths and weaknesses. It is more a case of the client picking out individual aspects of themselves as they explore their thoughts and feelings while I provide a safe, authentic and no judgmental space for them to do so. Through my acceptance of the client; warts and all, I hope to reverse the 'conditions of worth' acquired during earlier life in the hope that the client can learn to accept themselves. If a diagnosis is what you think would be useful for you, then its worth checking out the approach a therapist is using. I would also suggest that you could raise this issue as a useful topic of conversation with your therapist. The 'here and now' is a fertile ground.
Karen Jones *non-judgmental
A useful video. Thanks for uploading :). I tried browsing through your channel too, but the new youtube one layout makes it near impossible to make sense of.
